Ukulele Day 11 Back

Today, we use a huge template (part of sphere) with sand paper to sand out the back.

The result of our lining, heel/end black. The curve runs along with our sphere template to perfectly touch with our back.

Then, we carve the back bar out at the top.

Measure the length/position of bracing with lining. Mark the position.

These 4 slots are carved to fit with bracing.

Cut the suitable bracing length, to fit with lining.

Use duck tape to seal the sound hole because we don't want any lacquer going in the sound hole during finishing process. We must seal it at this step because we will assembly the back very soon.

This is the final call for anything inside the guitar. Any clean, sign a signature must have been done right now.

We, then, glue the back and attach with side. Close this sound chamber.
Wait for glue setting about 4 hours.

Result of gluing.
