Ukulele Day 06 Lining

Last day, we finished our in mode gluing.

This is what we've got after we remove the holding clamp.

We then prepare our lining. It is 4 pieces of stripped wood.

Use smooth plane to adjust the surface.

Then, use a small plane to taper one side of stick.

Then, we set up band saw, stopper, fence to do the lining.

Mark a pencil line at the fence and shift the stick to the right, one by one.

Use push block to push the stick stand still with fence.

Here are our lining.

We, then, check the height of side from the mold. In this case, it is 15mm height all over side.

We practice the lining attachment with small spring clamp.

If we are ready, we glue it all and wipe out the excess glue immediately.

And this is our top, back after we remove from jig.
