Here are our 6 pieces of mahogany.
Top/Back is at 4mm thickness because we will do the book match later.
Side is at 2.5mm.
Here is our dial thickness scale. It helps us a lot to adjust the thickness all over the board.
Our shooting board comes in place. We bevel both boards' edge with it.
This step, we need to bevel 2 boards together because we will use it
Check the book match. The edge must be 100% touch, no light go through.
Also, we do the center line at the back of this ukulele.
Here, we prepare the black strip (ebony). The thickness is 2mm.
We pull this ebony strip through the cutter.

We glue them together.
Note that we need a piece of newspaper at the bottom, to protect our back sticking with table
After that, we use block plane to adjust the thickness from 4mm down to 1.8mm
